During the last Masters Series of Madrid, There was a nice particularity which were the ball girls. All of them were spanish models. Obviously, Novak didn't like one of them, trying to kill her.
Fortunately for her, nothing was bad. And she had the right to be held by Novak.
An incident well-handled by Djoko, isn't it?

Impact of Novak in his country (Serbia)
Novak seems to be such a big star in his own country, and that's why the media wants to use his image to promote some products in advertisings like this one for a visa card.
Do you want more and more imitations??
Here is in the locker-room during the last Us Open. Novak is imitating other players, italian, spanish ones, even the master Roger Federer could see his motions and attitudes...
What can i say more? Unbelievable... and more and more visible details.

The Nole, player and singer??
Novak Djokovic is always ready to answer to the media, not only the mandatory interviews like the press conference after his matches.
He is often ok to participate for a tv show.
Fortunately for us, Novak is better player than singer. But he's still giving a good impression for his fans, staying himself, nice and funny...
At least, i am sure that Gloria Gaynor won't sell the rights to sing her title "I will survive" to the Nole.

Djokovic, the definition of the relaxed guy
Maybe, you discovered this player, or saw again his jokes. Moreover, i would like to specify that this man managed to find a good balance in his lifestyle:
either to be serious and fighting when he needs to get good results on court or to be relaxed and funny when it's not necessary behaving like a strong and insensitive player as we can notice actually with most of players.
Look at him after losing a point and a game in Montreal for his first round, as a big fan of Mansour Bahrami what he is (For people who don't know Mansour, it's a player from Iran, who is really famous around the world for his jokes (like hit the ball behind the legs...) and plays a lot of exhibitions matches. One of his speciality is to pick up the ball directly in his pocket), he realized the same joke. Listen to the reaction of the crowd and the commentators!!
Just for information, he won this tournament after beating Kiefer, Roddick, Nadal and Federer. And the public was a big part of his success.
Afterwards, outside the court, he became a kind of attraction specially in the locker-rooms. He is kidding of some players, but never with a bad spirit. Also, when he has the opportunity to meet another star (like actors, other sportsmen...), he seems to be a bit shy, not hesitating to ask to do a picture with him, like a fan.
Look at the difference between him and Rafael Nadal in the locker-room. One is laughing all the time, singing, imitating, the other one is very serious, transparent.

Novak: the best attitude and imitator of his opponents and friends...

I would like to explain why i am interested in this player. Actually, it's not only because he has a lot of nice shots in his racket (and I really think that he will be the next top tennis player), but, because, i am a big fan of his personality, his character of fire on court, and also, his way of life outside the court. We can consider him as a showman. Indeed, i have the chance to travel all around the world, and i can see his impact on different population. Everybody adopted him and continue loving him. He became in few months, such a big star.
He started being liked shyly, wearing soccer shirts at each final victory (French team shirt after his title in Metz in 2006, Serbia team shirt in Adelaide in 2007), just to show that he is a big fan of soccer, whatever the team...
Little by little, he tried different ways of behaving on-court and off-court. And today, he is really famous and popular:

- to be more and more expressive during his matches (after long rallys for example). Moreover, he managed to develop a fighting spirit on court, never being vulgar or threatening against his opponents and umpires.
I think the music with this video, represents the spirit of Novak on the court. He came from a country which has not many equipments, practiced and worked very hard, and that's why he has "the eye of the tiger" on the court.
- Also, he has another particularity in his play, which is to bounce a lot of times the ball before the service (at least 10 times, sometimes more than 20). During an interview after a victory at Us Open versus Carlos Moya, the speaker asked him why he needs to do that everytime, and he answered: "it's just to focus, and not to irritate anyone... But it's also to stay longer on this court, that's why i bounce more and more" (it was in front of 22500 people, on Arthur Ashe Court). It can be annoying or boring for the public and for the opponent, but he managed to do a strength of that with his answer.
- to imitate his opponents and friends during his practice sessions. He is able to caricature the motions, the attitudes of a lot of players like Rafael Nadal, Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick... These mimes are getting better and better, and more and more popular. Everybody wants to see him doing Miss Sharapova for example.
And afterwards, during the last Us Open, on the Arthur Ashe Court, he did an imitation of Maria Sharapova and Rafael Nadal, and he won not only his match of the fourth round, but also the support of all a stadium...and for the rest of the tournament.
As you can see on the next video, Novak caricatures his imitations just a little...
I think that the world of tennis needs this kind of player who is funny, decontracted, but also fighting. During the 70's and 80's, there were some players like John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors who had a strong personality. And during a while, there was not anymore players like them. When you watch Roger Federer n°1 since 5 years, you are sure of nothing will happen, because he is always calm, no chance to see him getting angry, or at least a bit demonstrative. Actually, there was a good attempt with the french player nicknamed slideman, Gael Monfils, but he doesn't get the same results than Novak. he has a good impact among tennis fans, but not like the nole can have.
2007 Record

- In 2007, Novak is doing the best season of his career, after winning 5 titles, reaching the final at Us Open, and two semi finals of Grand slam (French Open and Wimbledon).
- Also, he got his first two ATP masters series titles in Miami and in Montreal (after having beaten the first three best players in the world in the same tournament: Roddick, Nadal, and Federer in final)
- I am very impressed by this player because he announced in Metz (France) last year, that his main goal (as he can say: "his life goal") was to dethrone the master Roger Federer in the next years. He was only n°22 in the world (September 2006).
Unfortunately, there is the translation in french but you can hear what Novak is saying in english.
Everybody thought that it was just for laughing because he used to say a lot of ambitious sentences. But finally, he improved during 2007 his ranking, until the position n°3 and proved to all the players that he deserved to be at the top of the world hierarchy.
And after beating Roger Federer once, and Rafael Nadal twice this year, he is starting to decrease the difference of points between him and these two players.
Novak Djokovic at age 7
Here is The nole who is practicing, when he was 7 years old; smashes, services, shooting a little and with a cap. He was already working hardly, and showing all his determination. The net wasn't in bad condition, hold by a stone on the ground, at the center
He wore a tracksuit without famous brand whereas young french player wears a full Nike clothing at the same age. You can notice this difference.
He had a very good technique, didn't he?

The Nole repeats all the time, that he thanks a lot all his family who gave and is still giving him a lot of support. He thinks that he wouldn't be able to be at this level without their presence and their help.

We can imagine that it was not easy for a young player from Serbia to become a high-level tennisman. Indeed, he didn't have the same sport equipments, the best conditions to practice like a french player can have, but the support of his family, his motivation and his rage to become the best, permitted himself to be at the top in the world tennis ranking (almost ;))
